On June 26 every year, the world marks St Josemaría Escrivá Day by commemorating the message of “the saint of ordinary life”, as Pope St. John Paul II called St. Josemaría.
Since 2022, Lakeside has hosted annual activities to promote St. Josemaría Escriva’s message of the universal christian vocation to holiness as relating to current topics of ordinary life.
The activities to mark this year's celebration start with a Solemn Holy Mass in honor of St. Josemaría on June 22, 2024 at Whitesands School Lekki. Sixty students from Lakeside will be present at the celebration. The Mass is a great opportunity to learn about the message of Opus Dei and life of St Josemaría Escrivá.
The theme of the 2024 St Josemaría symposium is Formation for Sanctity in today’s world and will feature a panel discussion moderated by Stanley Ugwu (Esq.) and with panelists in the persons of Patrick Okechukwu, Paschal Okwor, Anthony Bamigbola.
