Our warmest congratulations to all our final-year students on your outstanding achievement and success. Graduating from the University of Lagos is not easy, please take the time to celebrate with your family, friends, and fellow students.

This achievement is extra-special for each of you because the journey has not been smooth sailing. Apart from the several industrial strikes that interrupted your studies, the situation was made even more dire with the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and the subsequent #ENDSARS protests that extended your journey even further. Perseverance and tenacity are two virtues that you now have by necessity.

As you bid farewell to the citadel of learning, accompanied by the formation that you enjoyed at Lakeside all these years, we are confident that you would be a change-maker for progress in whatever path you choose next.
